Without a healthy VanVleet, Wichita State suffered not just its first three-game losing streak since having VanVleet come off the bench for the 2012-13 team but also its worst start to a season (2-4) since the 2007-08 team. On December 5 against St. Louis, VanVleet made his way back into the starting lineup to halt the losing streak.
