Filathlitikos (2011–2013)

During the 2011–12 season, Antetokounmpo participated with the senior men's squad of Filathlitikos in the semi-pro Greek B Basket League (Third Division).

Days after turning 18, Antetokounmpo signed a four-year contract with Spanish team CAI Zaragoza in December 2012. The agreement reportedly included NBA buyouts after each season. Barcelona and Efes, among other top European teams, had expressed interest in signing him.

Antetokounmpo averaged 22.5 minutes per game while shooting 46.4 percent from the field, 62.1 percent on two-point field goals, 31.3 percent from beyond the arc, and 72.0 percent from the charity stripe in the Greek A2 League in 2012–13.
